The penultimate volume of the “Moonfall” series, after The Cradle of Ice, has some exposition lag, but the fast pace of its action sequences will keep epic fantasy readers engaged.
Readers who enjoy Michael Crichton’s books and fans of Rollins’s (The Last Odyssey) previous work will want to tackle this new entry in the “Sigma Force” series, which can also be enjoyed as a stand-alone novel.
Best-selling author Rollins has again crafted an excellent nail-biting thriller that all action adventure readers will love. Rollins always provides author notes with the science and historical facts behind his stories, and the creatures the team encounter are frighteningly possible!
Rollins has done it again. Real history and science play a key role in all of the action, which never wanes. Amid all of the chaos are some terrific characters who get a chance to shine. Definitely keep an eye out for this one. [See Prepub Alert, 1/14/13.]
Public libraries that have the earlier works in this series should purchase this one, while others also may wish to consider buying it. [The Morrow hc was a New York Times best seller.—Ed.]
