Zebra: Kensington. (A Laurel Snow Romantic Thriller, Bk. 1). Jan. 2022. 400p. ISBN 9781420154320. pap. $8.99. ROMANTIC SUSPENSE
Zanetti’s (Rebel’s Karma) latest romantic thriller is the first entry in a new series featuring FBI Special Agent Laurel Snow. Laurel is gifted, having started college when she was only 11, which has resulted in some social awkwardness. She’s on her way to Washington, DC, when she gets a frantic call from her mother. There is a serial killer operating in Laurel’s hometown, and her uncle is the main suspect. The local authorities are willing to help. Bodies are piling up on Snowblood Peak, so Laurel is paired with Fish and Wildlife Captain Huck Rivers. Huck is gruff, but as the two make their way through the woods and rough terrain, a connection is made.
VERDICT Plot twists and red herrings abound in this fast-paced novel that will keep readers turning the pages.
