Resurrection Walk

In Connelly’s seventh installment in the “Lincoln Lawyer” series (following Law of Innocence), defense attorney Mickey Haller teams up with investigator Harry Bosch to reopen the closed case of Lucinda Sanz, a woman convicted of killing her ex-husband, a deputy sheriff. The case was hastily tried in court, and Sanz’s incompetent lawyer advised her to plead nolo contendere (not guilty or innocent, but willing to accept punishment). Bosch suspects a police cover-up, and an intense courtroom drama follows. Narrator Titus Welliver, who portrays Harry Bosch in the television series Bosch and Bosch: Legacy, provides a riveting performance, capturing Bosch’s calm, intelligent, and vigorous examination of the facts and breathing life into his portrayal. Narrator Peter Giles, who voices Haller, does an equally exceptional job interpreting the characters, conveying the intensity of the courtroom drama and the animosity between Haller and opposing counsel Morris. Rounding out the cast, Christine Lakin narrates the part of fan-favorite Renée Ballard, an LAPD detective who works the night shift.
