The Garden House

For readers who will enjoy an emotionally complex story that asks the question: Who across the generations has the right to find love and be happy?

Indian Summer

Willett (The Songbird) transports readers to bucolic Devon, where the heat and the story simmer but never boil. This well-written but tepid tale may please fans of Jill Mansell.

Postcards from the Past

This novel works well as a stand-alone, but those who've read the author's Christmas in Cornwall will be thrilled to revisit Clem and Jakey and the nuns of Chi-Meur as a new chapter in their lives unfolds. The title is sure to appeal to those missing Maeve Binchy, but Nancy Thayer and Debbie Macomber fans will find much to like also.

This quiet story with a slowly developing plot and very little action is nicely read by June Barrie, who adds to the novel's charm with her interpretation of each character.
