The chemistry between Lexie and Sean is enough to melt any ice rink, and their push-pull on-again, off-again fake relationship sizzles on the page. Having two protagonists abstaining from "going to the bone yard" is an intriguing premise yet it doesn't prevent Gibson (Rescue Me) from turning up the heat in this spicy romance of supposed opposites definitely attracting each other. It seems there is still a lot one can do when one isn't "doing it." For most romance readers.

Blue by You is an incredibly quick read, but, considering the length, Gibson (Rescue Me; Crazy on You) still manages to evoke the New Orleans setting as she draws the reader through Blue and Kasper's story. Don't be fooled by the brevity, though. Gibson has packed major heat and chemistry into these pages. The plot itself feels a bit rushed, but only because the characters and backstory seem worthy of a full-length novel.

Sizzling sex, dialog peppered with plenty of Texas slang, a setting overflowing with country flavor, and a pair of appealing, emotionally scarred protagonists combine in a big-hearted, touching, and hilarious story you won't be able to put down. RITA Award winner Gibson (Any Man of Mine) is an icon in the romantic comedy arena; she lives in Idaho.
