Fans of Cameron’s dog-centric storytelling will enjoy but might wish for more emphasis on the four-legged characters. Those who have always had a sneaking suspicion that dogs are better than people will find plenty of confirmation.
Fans of Cameron’s previous dog stories (A Dog’s Purpose and A Dog’s Journey, both made into films) will enjoy the further adventures of these wonderful animals and their people. Newcomers will also be charmed by a farm family’s story told from a canine perspective. [See Prepub Alert, 4/15/19.]
Carl Hiaasen fans will enjoy this entertaining follow-up to The Midnight Plan of the Repo Man, which was short-listed for the RUSA Reading List in 2015.
