Harper offers up another Amish romantic suspense novel set in fictional Home Valley, OH, where her last trilogy took place (Fall from Pride, etc.). Lydia Brand loves her Amish community and her adoptive parents, but she still longs to know more about her biological parents. While helping her neighbor Josh Yoder look for one of his missing live Nativity animals, Lydia encounters a woman's body in the snow along with a note that may be a clue about Lydia's parents. As Josh and Lydia investigate and their attraction grows, the killer's threats hit closer to home.
VERDICT An enjoyable read for those looking for a little more excitement in an Amish setting.
