Adam Lockwood, full-time hockey star and part-time heartbreaker, is looking for someone to share his days with, someone who cares more about him than his hockey career—and the money that comes with it. He has a good life with warm friends and extended family, but the women he’s dated can’t see beyond the dollar signs that surround his name. Enter Rosie, who is studying to be a veterinarian and volunteers at her local animal shelter; the last thing she has time for is watching sports. So when she meets Adam while walking a dog, she has no idea who he is, but she’s intrigued with him from the very beginning. They soon find themselves walking their dogs together and talking. However, they both have secrets. These likable characters are well developed with backstories, and while third in the series (following Play with Me), the book can be read as a stand-alone. Mack takes readers on a delightfully scorching ride that will leave them breathless from beginning to end.
