The Dream Dictionary: Interpret the Secrets of Your Dreams

Thunder Bay. Sept. 2023. 592p. ISBN 9781667200750. pap. $24.99. REF
COPY ISBN
This revised edition with new information on sleep research and lightly updated content, Cheung (Empower Your Inner Psychic) outlines the history of dream interpretation, types of dreams (cathartic; nightmare; recurring), and how to improve dream recall. This “bedside reader” encompasses more than 500 pages of symbolic objects, actions, and settings, arranged alphabetically with ample cross-referencing. Some entries (passport; wedding ring) are a sentence or two; others (accidents; body parts) are several pages long. New to this edition are entries for dreams about the internet (scrolling points to a desire for something new; swiping indicates a desire for closure or to move forward speedily from a situation) and about social media more specifically.
VERDICT A useful replacement for the 2006 edition, likely to see use by dream-curious readers.
