Harper Bailey has made mistakes in the past and is determined to make a career in the music industry despite them. Her gift is wrangling musical talent, and she works her magic with Devin Parks. Their relationship shifts between friendship and something more on a semi-regular basis. For his part, Devin is dealing with a host of different issues from both his past and his present, on top of trying to make the music happen. Before anything permanent can develop between them, they each have to straighten out their own lives first. This is a relationship that has many twists and turns with discoveries between the characters as well as things they develop within themselves.
VERDICT Readers interested in deep character development and complex relationships will find much to love in this book from Forrester (Unplanned).
