Earning a spot on the televised trivia show Brain Battle is a dream come true for the fact-loving Charlotte. She’s been studying her whole life, and the prize money would greatly benefit her family as they care for her ailing grandmother. But when Charlotte’s assigned partner on Brain Battle is the man who broke her heart in high school, winning each round of the show isn’t Charlotte’s only hurdle. Getting paired with the one woman he’d always regretted walking away from was something Eli never could have expected. Finally able to explain and apologize for mistakes he made at 17, Eli is soon working with Charlotte on their off-air partnership too. But when someone who works on Brain Battle threatens Eli and Charlotte’s precarious position with dubious practices, the decisions they are forced to make together and separately are anything but trivial.
