Going Down Easy

Gabe Trahan and Addison Sloan have a pretty stellar arrangement: once a month, Addison visits New Orleans on business, and the pair explore the town, and each other, intimately. There's minimal talking and maximum sexcapades—but Gabe finds himself wanting more, much to his chagrin. Yet emotional intimacy would require sharing secrets, including the existence of Gabe's five-year-old son, and Addison doesn't seem interested in a relationship beyond the bedroom. When the two end up working in close quarters for the renovation of the Trahan brothers' bar, they will have to decide if pride and fear will prevent a happy future. This series debut from Nicholas (Cashmere and Camo) provides equal parts sex and sweetness as Gabe and Addison succumb to their incredible chemistry while attempting to fit the puzzle pieces of their lives together. Rarely are characters who are parents featured in the genre; it is refreshing to see Gabe balancing the ups and downs of single fatherhood with a burgeoning romance.
