Davis, who has cornered the market on putative ignorance with his "Don't Know Much About®" series, focuses here on the lives and deeds of American presidents in his usual Q&A style. While the information presented is often quite interesting and informative, the book does not translate well into audio format. The long lists of dates and events prior to and following each brief biographical sketch may read well in print but soon become tedious to the listener. The narration is competent, if inconsistent, owing to a shifting cast of interlocutors. The set includes a PDF file of suggested supplemental readings and online resources, which is particularly useful.
VERDICT Recommended for fans of the series.
