Lark's fine "Digital Masters" series (Michael Clark's Digital Masters: Adventure Photography) features acclaimed professional photographers. Hopkins's work appears in National Geographic publications, and he teaches for National Geographic Expeditions. Here, he demonstrates digital fundamentals for working in the wild and advanced techniques for, as he writes, "taking the best possible pictures in the moment." His humble approach is refreshing, and his personal, autobiographical style of writing engaging. This is a good companion to Michael Frye's more specialized Digital Landscape Photography.
