This well-written encyclopedia clearly explains the alliances of various topics and people to Virgil. The references to specific lines of his work are useful. While too detailed for the casual student of the classics, Thomas and Ziolkowski's work will certainly be useful in academic libraries where scholars are pursuing in-depth Virgil study.
