Recipes such as halibut with spiced olive tapenade and kasha, cauliflower soup with crispy garlic and curry oil, and pistachio cardamom butter cookies cover every course, with ample options for meat or dairy kitchens. Additionally, the Morgans provide a helpful guide to wine and suggest wine pairings for their dishes throughout the volume. A chapter on basics will be useful to less-experienced cooks, and everyone will benefit from the section of multicourse holiday menus.
VERDICT This hip, fresh cookbook is just the thing for foodies desiring to keep kosher while elevating their repertoire of dishes for the benefit of themselves or their dinner guests—and there's plenty to interest cooks who lack a kosher kitchen as well.
