Knitting Almanac

This collection includes knitting, sewing, and other craft projects, as well as recipes and lifestyle tips. This wide-ranging volume by knitter and baker Martin includes six to 10 projects, recipes, and more for each month. In some cases, instructions are quite minimal, and the content appears to have been pulled from multiple sources with limited editing. One project, for example, instructs readers to get an adult’s help, and steps for specific techniques are not always located near the project in which they are first used. Some illustrations do not match the accompanying text, such as the explanation of the magic-loop method, which shows double-point needles rather than a circular needle. This book is perhaps more useful as a catalogue of project ideas, instead of a how-to guide for creating them.
