Ingredients such as coconut milk, whole grains, and seeds along with vegetables and fruits are considered with suggestions on how to buy, store, and use these items. Allergies and intolerances are discussed and a seasonality chart helps with meal planning. "Tools of the trade" include a vegetable peeler and potato masher and are complemented by pantry essentials such as lentils. Some interesting combinations include pear pumpkin banana and apple sweet potato berry swirl. For adventurous eaters, there is Moroccan lamb with couscous and spiced pumpkin flax teething biscuits, among others. Toddlers will enjoy mango carrot smoothies, fresh minty pea hummus, and teenie beanie burgers made of chickpeas. Also noted is how to make recipes gluten free.
