Alibaba is a global marketplace for both finished goods and raw materials; business owners can find there everything from Chinese-made laptops to ten tons of coconut fiber from Vietnam. The site offers a secure payment system, called Alipay, that will hold a business's payment until the customer confirms receipt. If you buy from a "Trade assurance" seller, you can use the site to check that seller's transaction history and negotiate a contract. Alibaba will refund some or all of the money if the seller does not meet the conditions that were negotiated.
