Six months ago, Katie was baptized into the Amish faith. Now she's feeling like a fifth wheel since her friends are either courting or happily married. Though Jake's grandparents are Amish, he was raised Mennonite. When Jake starts a remodeling job at the Kauffman Bakery where Katie works, they become friends. As their romance develops, Katie's family forbids her to spend any more time with Jake, or risk being shunned.
VERDICT This fifth and final installment in the "Kauffman Amish Bakery" series is sure to please fans who have waited for Katie's story. Clipston does a nice job of tying up loose ends from other books. This uplifting story should appeal to fans of Barbara Cameron.
