Innovative Unveils 50 More Early Adopters and Development Partners of Sierra ILS

[Update: The headline and text have been changed to reflect that Innovative Interfaces has announced a total of 75 early adopters and development partners.]

Innovative Interfaces (III) on Friday announced that it has reached agreements with a total of 75 academic, public, and special library organizations worldwide—representing more than 300 libraries—to become partners in or early implementers of the Sierra Services Platform, III's in-development integrated library system (ILS) due to be beta-launched by the end of 2011. The first 25 early adopters were announced in July.

Sierra was first announced in April, and will include such features as an online "Developer's Sandbox" for developers to test applications using Sierra's application programming interfaces (APIs). According to the latest announcement, III is now developing Sierra's staff application interface and third-party reporting functionality, among other features.
