Join LJ Logo for the annual
LJ Day of Dialog 2011
The 2011 LJ Day of Dialog—a day-long event that brings together librarians, publishers, vendors, and authors for discussion of issues affecting the book and library world today.

This year’s program starts with the popular Editors' Picks panel, featuring early book buzz from leading publishers like Holt and Grand Central. Then there are authors galore—thriller writer Karin Slaughter on her "Save the Libraries" campaign; New Yorker librarian Jon Michaud on his first novel, When Tito Loved Clara; and outstanding authors like Tony Hurwitz and David Reynolds on "Truth or Dare: Presenting the Past in History and Fiction." And ending the day, we’ll have a nuts-and-bolts discussion of using social media in the library.

All this for the low price of $29.95 (for LJ subscribers). Join us for a full day of exciting programs and presentations as well as lunch, a closing reception, author signings, and plenty of time to network with colleagues and sponsors.

Sure would be awesome if some of this could be virtual as well. Maybe next year?

(Shouldn't it be "Dialogue"? Or is it really intended to build brand for a particular library vendor??? Tsk, tsk.

No library vendor allusion, just LJ's lexicon. We catalog, not catalogue, at LJ too.
