Barbie Meets Mr. Darcy, Via Topeka

So maybe Barbie makes a good book reviewer? A couple of Barbies appear in an offbeat 90-second book review of Shannon Hale's Austenland (Bloomsbury; LJ 4/15/07) about a Jane Austen fantasy camp. The video, and a couple of dozen others, were created by Lissa Staley, Daniel Fogt, and Carrie Cummings for the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library, KS. "We are experimenting with different ways to connect people to books, as well as to advertise the library and our events, using short videos," they declared.
