Tutor.com Tops Jobs for Women

By Michael Rogers -- Library Journal, 5/1/2007

Working Mother magazine has named Tutor.com, the noted online homework and tutoring service, one of the Top 25 Best Small Companies for Women 2007. The company was honored because it allows “all 20 of [its] female employees [to] work a flexible schedule, with 65 percent of them working from home at least one day each week. Moms receive 12 weeks of job-guaranteed maternity leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act, with six of those weeks fully paid. Phased-in reentry and access to a private pumping room with a refrigerator make it easier for new moms to return to work.” There are also “three working moms on the executive management team.”
