Pat Harris Leaves NISO, Pat Stevens Named Interim Head

The National Information Standards Organization (NISO) November 9 announced the immediate departure of its 20-year executive director Pat Harris. NISO offered no official explanation for Harris's sudden withdrawal. The NISO Board will conduct an industry-wide search to secure Harris's successor. Pat Stevens, head of NISO's Standards Development Committee, has been tapped as interim head.
