Tara Spires-Jones is Professor of Neurodegeneration at the University of Edinburgh where she is Deputy Director of the Centre for Brain Sciences and a UK Dementia Research Institute Fellow. Her research focuses on the mechanisms and reversibility of neurodegeneration in Alzheimer’s disease, other degenerative brain diseases, and ageing. She is also the Editor in Chief of Brain Communications.

Ugo Panizza is Professor of Economics and Pictet Chair in Finance and Development at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. He is also the Director of the International Center for Monetary and Banking Studies (ICMB), Editor in Chief of International Development Policy, and deputy director of the Center for Finance and Development. He is also the Editor in Chief of Oxford Open Economics.

Marcus Munafo is Professor of Biological Psychology and MRC Investigator in the School of Psychological Science at the University of Bristol. His research focuses on understanding pathways into, and the consequences of, health behaviours and mental health, with a particular focus on tobacco and alcohol use. He is the Editor in Chief of Nicotine and Tobacco Research. Marcus is on the Steering Group of the UK Reproducibility Network (UKRN), a national peer-led consortium that aims to ensure the UK retains its place as a centre for world-leading research.

Adam Leary is Senior Publisher for Open Research at OUP. He has worked across the journals publishing programme in science and medicine, as well as supporting the development and implementation of the new OUP research data policy in 2020.
