nllwalkingtourslugThe impressive Jerry Falwell Library on the Liberty University campus in Lynchburg, VA, is a building constantly changing. The surrounding campus is also growing and expanding, with a grand concourse stretching from the dormitories up the hill past the library all the way to the campus stadium. Upon entering the Falwell Library, the central atrium offers a stunning multilevel view of the facility, with huge numbers etched on the interior glass walls IDing the floors. Loads of glass let in natural light and provide scenic views as well. Help opportunities abound, with clear signage, interactive video monitors, and staff-managed information desks ready to serve. Moving through the different floors, study areas are everywhere, with quiet levels clearly labeled. Parallel to the atrium is an open, "floating" staircase linking floors, opposite another wall of windows letting in more light. Individual study rooms are on every floor, all equipped for maximum study and interaction. An in-house café offers food from a variety of vendors, with indoor and outdoor space available to eat and study. From the first floor atrium up to the green rooftop, the Falwell Library offers endless opportunities for students.
