Stalked: The Boy Who Said No

This novel is not only a story about a deadly enemy only a few miles from our shores but also a testimonial to what lengths people will go to become free. Unfortunately, the author spends too much time on Frank's personal adjustment to America, and, thus, the novel lacks excitement and drama. Purchase for demand.

The Boy Who Said No: An Escape to Freedom

This mix of thriller and history offers a fascinating but depressing look at life under Castro's totalitarian regime. Even though the chase Sheehy describes is exciting, the suspense is lessened by Medero's success (as he is the novel's narrator). Despite that minor flaw, this is a tense and exhilarating read.
