The rapid-fire conclusion might be too quick for some readers, but Child has laid the groundwork for her happy ending.

The third “Dynasties: The Carey Center” series installment (after Ways To Win an Ex) is strong enough to stand alone, but readers will be intrigued enough by the minor characters to return for future books or look back at any entries in the series they may have missed.

The chemistry is strong, and the willingness of characters to set and respect boundaries makes the book even better.
