Are You Ready for LibraryCon Live 2018?

Calling all book nerds, librarians, and comics lovers. Have you signed up for LibraryCon Live yet?

Attention book nerds, librarians, and comics lovers: the second annual LibraryCon Live free virtual event is happening next Wednesday, November 7.

Keynote speakers include Victor LaValle, a self-described "true weird," and the Shirley Jackson Award-winning author of The Ballad of Black Tom, The Changeling, Destroyer, and more; Mariko Tamaki, a New York Times best-selling author and winner of numerous awards including the Printz, Caldecott, and Eisner; and Margie Stohl, the #1 New York Times best-selling author of Beautiful Creatures, who's currently working on the "Mighty Captain Marvel" comics.

In addition to panel discussions on women in comics (including Karen Berger, editor of Berger Books, along with Gwenda Bond, Amy Chu, Dana Simpson, and Sam Maggs from The Mary Sue), excellent new or forthcoming children's and YA titles (featuring Greg Neri, Chad Sell, Tui Sutherland, and Mark Tatulli), and fan favorites (with Jo Whittemore, Jeremy Whitley, and F.C. Yee), attendees will also learn how to host their own ComicCon-style library event, with tips and advice from expert librarians.

Beyond the official program, dozens of live author chats and giveaways will be happening throughout the day in the virtual exhibits hall. To top it off, all attendees will be entered for a chance to win an Oculus virtual reality headset system.

Registration is free and open to all.
