The Liz Taylor Ring

Lizzie Morgan and Ritchie Schneider fall madly in love. Lizzie’s parents do not approve of gambling-addicted Ritchie, who can’t hold down a job. Against her parents’ wishes, Lizzie marries Ritchie anyway, and they embark on a long, passionate relationship fraught with problems. After their deaths, Lizzie and Ritchie’s three adult children learn that their father had recently obtained a safety deposit box and that it must be removed immediately from the water-damaged bank where it sits. When they arrive to retrieve the contents of the box, they are surprised to see that the only item within is the 11-carat diamond ring Ritchie gave Lizzie as a reconciliation gift after a separation. The siblings soon clash over what should be done with the ring and who should own it. Cassandra Campbell does an excellent narration, capturing each character’s intense emotions and distinctive personality; the plot is also easy to follow.
