Cyberwarfare quickly develops into mortal combat in this latest installment of the McLanahan saga. Evil Russian president Gryzlov begins a coordinated all-out cyberassault on Poland, which has the rest of Europe and the United States in a quandary as well. Brad McLanahan and his father, Patrick, along with the Scion team are soon called in to handle things. All of this action-filled plot is marvelously read by McLeod Andrews. His versatile voice easily handles myriad accents—Eastern European, Southern United States, and more—with seeming effortlessness. He reads the narrative sections with the same energy and suitable expressiveness.
VERDICT All of this makes for a wonderful experience for fans of Brown and action novels in general. Public libraries should purchase.
