COPY ISBN
American-born, Paris-based designer Jimenez, with the help of design lecturer and writer Saeks (Stamps & Stamps) demonstrates how to bring Parisian decor into your home through photographs of houses filled with antique and modern finds. Each chapter shares store names and locations, enabling readers to patronize the same locales, both in the U.S. and in France. There are chapters on must-visit shops, specialists and antique dealers in France, savoir faire tips, and historical places to tour for inspiration. Jimenez has included very specific tips for flea market shopping on location. A multipage source list concludes this photo book. Jimenez proves readers can decorate where they are planted and still achieve Parisian style by mentioning store locations (Kansas City, San Francisco, etc.) of his various finds.
VERDICT The very niche nature of the work narrows the checkouts it may receive, but purchase where coffee-table decor books are popular.
