Loose Lips

The “Get Lit” cruise has officially set sail, filled with an entourage of established and aspiring women authors. The ship’s manifest includes an up-and-coming ghostwriter who turned her recent brush with murder into a successful mystery novel and now finds herself surrounded by fans and frenemies while also searching for inspiration to fuel a follow-up. Lucky for her, but not her fellow passengers, their pleasure trip turns into a triple homicide. She and several of the other writers put their creative minds to task, trying to solve the high-seas, locked-room murders before the killer can strike again. In this second installment of his “Ghostwriter” series (after The Busy Body), Donovan presents an amusing, action-packed mystery with a classic Golden Age atmosphere. Narrator Eva Kaminsky returns to voice the first-person perspective of the unnamed protagonist. She imbues her performance with the perfect amount of snark to balance the suspense and create a compelling listening experience.
