Last Night Was Fun

Emmy Jameson is a statistics analyst for the local baseball team, and she loves her job. As one of the few women in the organization, Emmy is constantly striving to prove herself, even more so now that she’s competing for a promotion with her egotistical, infuriating coworker Gabe Olson. Emmy’s hours are long, and she seems to always be in the office, but she adores this work, and nothing, not even Gabe’s constant one-upmanship, will make her give it up. Unfortunately, her erratic hours and dedication to her job leave no time for relationships. Then one morning she gets a text from a wrong number and replies back to the person she soon nicknames “Axe Murderer.” It begins the most fulfilling relationship Emmy has ever had. Her sister’s destination wedding is on the horizon, and her family is pushing her to bring a date, so Emmy arranges to meet Axe Murderer in person, hoping that he could be her plus-one. Horrifyingly, he turns out to be Gabe, and their worlds are turned inside out and upside down.
