Imagine If…: Creating a Future for Us All

In this posthumously published work, finished by his daughter, popular TED Talk speaker Ken Robinson (The Element) describes his view of human life on earth and proposes changes to make the future better. His philosophy is that creative thinking is the greatest tool that humanity has, and it should be nurtured and tended. He suggests that social institutions, including those focused on education, should be structured to focus on valuing and conserving natural and innate characteristics unique to each person. Robinson argues that, rather than moving students through an industrial-style process to create identical outcomes, education should help individuals discover their interests and talents so that they can use them for the good of all. This work provides an optimistic, broad view of where humanity has been and where it might go next, with enough imagination.
