Meltzer (The Fifth Assassin) here presents an audio companion to his History Channel series of the same name. The book counts down the ten greatest conspiracy theories throughout history including well-known ones such as those regarding D.B. Cooper and the Kennedy assassination as well as more obscure topics, e.g., the Georgia Guidestones. Meltzer approaches these conspiracies with some skepticism, but this book is best enjoyed as lighthearted counterfactual history. Audiobook listeners will recognize the voice of award-winning narrator Scott Brick. His work is some of the strongest in the business, and this performance is no exception. A worthy, light alternative to traditional history.
