The last thing PI Kira Vance expects when she takes on a case for a high-profile client is to watch her mentor get shot in cold blood at the home of Houston’s wealthiest lawyer. Whatever he was working on got him killed, and Kira is hired to find out what it was, even though it puts her directly in the line of fire.
