Hard To Love

Bromberg’s latest “Play Hard” series installment (after Hard to Lose) features tennis superstar Stevie Lancaster, who’s reeling after her father unexpectedly passes away. She is acting out and on the path to nowhere fast. Out with friends one night, Stevie encounters Rhett, and they really hit it off. However, it turns out that “Rhett” is actually Finn Sanderson, a man Stevie’s agent has tasked with helping get her back on the straight and narrow. Finn provides Stevie with a lot of tough love, and she lashes out, eventually leading Finn to quit. A scandal brings Stevie and Finn back together, and sparks fly as they become closer and closer. As Stevie works through her issues, Finn realizes he has his own childhood trauma to work through and that there’s more to life than work, but he’s unsure how to make a relationship with Stevie work once she’s back to playing tennis.
