Martin and Muntsa’s illustrations and color are vibrant and breathtaking, in a way that almost perfectly encompasses the 1970s New England setting.
VERDICT A beautiful and dark homage to the classic “child sleuth” character, crossed with the Sunday funnies page. It’s funny, brutal, and most of all riveting in a way that feels at once nostalgic and frightening. This collection is enticing from page one and becomes nearly impossible to put down once opened.
