Books such as Springer's (comparative military studies, Air Command and Staff Coll., Maxwell Air Force Base) concise work can quickly become outdated, but because this title focuses on the history of cyber warfare rather than specific technology, researchers will find it beneficial for a number of years. The book also covers issues, controversies, solutions, and key individuals and groups in the area of cyber warfare, with five researchers offering their perspectives on the field. A list of references is provided at the conclusion of each chapter and a longer section of resources is included at the end of the volume.
VERDICT A valuable addition to the reference collection of academic libraries, especially those with a military history program.
