Riffing on his 2007 hit song “Buy You a Drank (Shawty Snappin’),” singer and musician T-Pain collaborates with award-winning mixologist Britten to concoct inventive alcoholic cocktails. Building off traditional cocktails, with an added “T-Pain twist,” the “dranks” are named after the artist’s songs and lyrics. Each recipe lists the base liquor and other ingredients, glass style, mixing method, and garnish. Inspiring photos of the finished drinks add appeal. Ingredients (often specified by brand name) include traditional liquors as well as the less-expected (pink peppercorns, CBD oil, English breakfast tea, Red Bull).
VERDICT Some readers may be put off by the profanity and references to intoxication; still, the recipes are sure to enliven any cocktail party.
