This updated work discusses basic and advanced principles of pottery glazing, use of tools and equipment, and the physical and chemical properties of various glazes, plus techniques for successful firing results. There is in-depth coverage of mid-range, high-fire, and low-fire glazes, along with recipes and application methods. Glazing can be regarded as the least favorite step in the process of pottery making, Kline says, but he aims to take the mystery and guesswork out of this important stage.
