Music befitting the contemporary romance’s tone welcomes the listener to Anna and Max’s story. Gonzalez’s pacing and pleasant voice are a boon to her performance, making one feel as if the tale takes place over weeks rather than days; however, heightened emotions are further emphasized by her exuberant narration, which may distract some listeners. Some unusually accentuated words and phrases pepper the narration, further pulling listeners out of the story.
