After many years devoted to being a wife and a mother to six sons, Libby Tennyson is struggling to find a new routine as an empty nester and widow after her husband Jack passes away. She finds solace in her friends who are also finding their way as widows. Bonding over coffee and softball, the women of “The Guild” look out for and support one another through widowhood, cancer, and more. Libby’s youngest son, Chase, has recently gotten engaged, but he and his partner, Liam, both worry about how their families will react to the news. Their plans of a small ceremony are upended when Chase’s brother and his fiancée insist on having a double wedding at the family farm. How would Jack have felt having a same-sex wedding on his farm? The third book in the “Savannah Skies” series (following Promises To Keep) introduces lots of heavy situations, but characters overcome them quickly and easily.
