This July, LJ launches #LJReads, a community-wide read; our first book will be Curtis Sittenfeld's Rodham.
LJ is proud to announce a new initiative: #LJReads. Though we may be farther apart than ever, books have the power to forge community. This summer, LJ invites you to join us in a community-wide read of Curtis Sittenfeld's Rodham, a timely and thought-provoking read that asks what would Hillary Rodham's life—and the political history of the United States—have looked like had she chosen not to marry Bill Clinton?
Starting July 22, we're launching a series of Twitter chats, using the hashtag #LJReadsRodham. Each Wednesday, over three weeks, at 3 p.m. ET, we'll post discussion questions devoted to a different section of the book (on July 22, we'll discuss the first section; on July 29, the second, and on August 5, the final one). We encourage you to respond and to share your own thoughts about the novel and what it says about our country's political history—and future.
#LReads will conclude with a Zoom interview between LJ and author Curtis Sittenfeld on August 11.
So grab or download a copy of Rodham; we can't wait to hear what you have to say!
