Rand’s call for action warns that a hostile climate is “our default future” and declares it’s up to both business and government to head it off in this realistic and readable outline of solutions that could be implemented. Recommended for informed readers, in particular Canadians, who are concerned about climate change.
A nexus of solid photography and exciting architecture reveals a popular avant-garde in its shining youth, this would be a great tool for a self-guided tour.
Robyn is a trouble magnet, and Garrick is torn between saving her life and trying to get through her tight defenses. Rand's (Wanted by the Warrior) Surrender is a new adult romance for those who like their romance on the down-and-dirty side, with their heroines still surprisingly innocent and their heroes as knights in slightly tarnished armor.
A decision by Lang at the novel's close defuses some of the potency Rand (the "Devil's Den" series) generates in this club's culture, especially since loyalty to the brotherhood is a cardinal rule. As well, readers might lose respect for Lily, who so quickly eschews feminine values, even if she does so for love. Sexy and mildly diverting, this title has potential but doesn't deliver at full throttle.

Kudos to the authors and publishers for maintaining this book as a series, celebrating the materiality of architecture in a convincing way for students, teachers, practitioners, clients, and professionals. Every school offering design in its curriculum should buy this—public libraries as well. This second volume doubles the impact and the compact of the first.
