By Sarah Dinowitz & Heather McCormack Aug 3, 2010

August 2010 brings 58 starred reviews from our solo print issue and our Xpress Reviews (online-only). Maybe it's because I love summer eats, but I was instantly drawn to the cookbooks: no fewer than four scored big with us, including Sterling's Family Vegetarian Cooking. Poet Seamus Heaney also returns, as do novelists Michael Cunningham, Emma Donoghue, and Jonathan Franzen.--Heather McCormack
