Featured people in the academic library world. Jul 15, 2010Sara Bahnmaier is the new Head of the Electronic Acquisitions and Licensing Unit, University Library, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She previously was the Electronic Resources Librarian at the University of Illinois-Chicago.
Ken Haycock, Professor and Director of the San José School of Library and Information Science (LIS), CA, has been appointed to the Follett Chair in LIS at Dominican University, River Forest, IL, effective August 2010. Haycock was the 2010 recipient of the Beta Phi Mu Award from the American Library Association and of the Professional Contributions Award from the Association for Library and Information Science Education.
Pam Sessoms is the new Undergraduate Librarian in the R.B. House Undergraduate Library at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill. She has served since August 2009 as Interim Head of the Undergraduate Library; she joined the reference department at UNC’s Davis Library in 1994.
