Three Finalists Named for Lexington Public Library Directorship
Aug 4, 2010The Lexington Public Library, KY, is closer to hiring an executive director, as three finalists will meet the public August 5 at the Central Library Theater.
The job has been open since CEO Kathleen Imhoff was fired in July 2009. (She has since sued the library.) The library's first choice this past winter declined the job offer, so the search was reopened.
The finalists are:
- Ann Hammond, Deputy County Librarian at the Alameda County Library, Fremont, CA
- Kitty Pope, Executive Director of the Alliance Library System, East Peoria, IL
- Hampton "Skip"Auld, until recently Director of the Durham County Library, NC.
